{"id":1576,"date":"2023-05-12T06:42:17","date_gmt":"2023-05-12T11:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/itparadise.net\/2021\/05\/12\/psa-you-might-want-to-avoid-the-gobs-of-halo-infinite-spoilers-microsoft-just-leaked\/"},"modified":"2023-02-19T01:39:41","modified_gmt":"2023-02-19T06:39:41","slug":"psa-you-might-want-to-avoid-the-gobs-of-halo-infinite-spoilers-microsoft-just-leaked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itparadise.net\/?p=1576","title":{"rendered":"PSA: You might want to avoid the gobs of Halo Infinite spoilers Microsoft just leaked"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"jjNZiO\">If you\u2019re invested in the story of Master Chief, Cortana, and the fate of the <em>Halo<\/em> universe, you might want to keep your head down and start muting some keywords on social media until <em>Halo Infinite <\/em>arrives later this year \u2014 because vast spoilers for the game\u2019s entire story are now floating around on the internet. <\/p>\n<p id=\"15LuYi\"><strong>Note: we\u2019ll be keeping this post spoiler-free, though<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p id=\"GCXB8a\"><em>Halo Infinite<\/em> creative director Joseph Staten confirmed on Twitter that Microsoft accidentally leaked \u201ca small number of Halo Infinite campaign files\u201d when it launched the game\u2019s first multiplayer beta yesterday on July 29th, saying they \u201ccan ruin the campaign experience for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Leaks like this are painful for the dev team and can ruin the campaign experience for everyone. So please, keep you eyes peeled for spoilers and don&#8217;t spread them if you see them.\u2764\ufe0f 2\/2<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Joseph Staten (@joestaten) July 30, 2021\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"ykslJx\">As far as we can tell, that\u2019s no exaggeration \u2014 we found a plaintext dump on the web with over 800 strings of text that appear to be from <em>Halo Infinite<\/em>\u2019s campaign. They seem to describe both your in-game objectives, and basic descriptions of the plot, all the way through the end of the story. (At least one of them literally describes a plot twist.)<\/p>\n<p id=\"0gcSJB\">We\u2019re not linking to the strings, though they\u2019re not terribly hard to find if you really want to spoil the campaign.
